Complimentary Desk Copies

Faculty members are responsible for obtaining the complimentary desk copy from the publisher. We will be glad to provide a phone number and/or email address of the publisher, and we can loan you a book until your desk copy arrives.

Book Loan Policy

For Faculty Members– Rental textbooks are the property of Textbook Rental, and we allow faculty to borrow a book for the current semester. We will only be able to loan out a book if we have extra copies. Please understand the book is reserved for students, and we reserve the right to ask for this book to be returned if a student needs the book for their class. Faculty will need their S0# to borrow a book, and they will sign a book loan agreement. If the book is not returned when requested or at the end of the semester it was loaned, the faculty will be charged the replacement price of that textbook.

For Graduate Assistants– We will allow a graduate assistant to borrow a book for the current semester. The department will need to provide us with a letter stating which class they are teaching for the semester. You can email us the letter with the information to [email protected] or send it through campus mail MS2020. Please provide the GA’s name, S0#, the course number they will be teaching. Please understand this book is reserved for undergraduate students, and we reserve the right to ask for this book to be returned if a student needs the book for their class. Graduate assistants will need their S0# to borrow the textbook. If the book is not returned when requested or at the end of the semester it was loaned, the department will be charged the replacement price of that textbook.

All borrowed Textbook Rental books must be returned by the Monday after finals, or the replacement cost will be charged to your department or faculty account. If you have any questions, please call (573) 651-2236 or (573) 651-2538.

Faculty/Staff Enrolled in Classes

If you are enrolled in classes, you are considered a student and will be responsible for following all the rental terms and agreements, as well as pay the rental fee.
